PATTERN WITH WEAVE

Thursday 2nd and Thursday 9th September 2025

10am-12pm (UK time)

This Pattern with Weave class would make a great companion and add on to our Pattern with Colour in September. In this part Mary will be looking at pattern as applied to the weave. There will be elements of colour included in the work but the main focus will be on how the warps become an integral part of the pattern making.
 

This class is suitable for those with some basic experience. (The class will not be suitable for complete beginners – we plan to run the beginners classes again next year- please contact Ardington School of Crafts if you are interested).

• How to set up a pocket
• Twill patterns in one and two colours
• How to design your own twill pattern for a pocket
• Warp manipulation
• New materials – cotton braided rope and wool
