This online class is a follow on from skills learnt in Introduction to Twining – Parts One, Two, Three, and Four. Part Five introduces an alternative start with a circle opening. It draws on skills learnt in the other classes to develop ideas further.
This class is suitable for those with some basic experience. (The class will not be suitable for complete beginners – we plan to run the beginners classes again next year – please contact Ardington School of Crafts if you are interested).
Specific Skills Students Will Learn
Suitable rings for circle starts
How to make a ring for use in your work
Attaching warps to a ring, different methods
Twining flat in a circle and with edges
Set up a circle start without an anchor line
Application of slits, edges and points from Part Four
