Part Six is all about pattern using colour! It is an add on course to the Introduction to Twining – Parts One, Two and Three. It is not essential to have taken Parts Four and Five.
This class is suitable for those with some basic experience. (The class will not be suitable for complete beginners – we plan to run the beginners classes again next year – please contact Ardington School of Crafts if you are interested).
Specific Skills You Will Learn
How to set up and twine a tube
Patterns with two colours
How the pattern is affected by odd and even numbers of warp
Patterns – horizontal stripes, chasing spiral, vertical stripes, checkerboard
Patterns with twist – directional, zig zags, blocks of colour
Patterns with many colours – chasing spiral extension, diagonal stripes.
