This online class is a follow on from skills learnt in Introduction to Twining – Parts One, Two and Three. In Part Four the focus will be on slits, edges and points. It will offer ideas for developing simple pod forms into more sculptural pieces such as leaves and pods with petals.

This class is suitable for those with some basic experience. (The class will not be suitable for complete beginners – we plan to run the beginners classes again next year – please contact Ardington School of Crafts if you are interested).

Specific Skills Students Will Learn:

Refinement of slits and edges

Simple and countered twining

Taking an edge to a point

Two different techniques to work with the warps when making a point

Making a leaf form

Weaving a five petalled pod.
